Accessibility Statement
Every patient deserves equal access to information about their care, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
Carolinas Dermatology and Plastic Surgery is committed to making this website accessible to everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced for ADA compliance, and we treat accessibility as part of how we design, write, and build the site rather than an add-on.
What we do
- Clear page structure with headings and landmarks for screen reader users
- Full keyboard access, a visible focus indicator, and a skip to main content link
- Text descriptions for meaningful images, including before and after photos
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios
- Layouts that work when text is enlarged to 200% and on small screens
- Reduced motion for visitors who have turned off animation on their device
- Ongoing review as new pages, photos, and content are added
Third-party content
Some features are provided by outside vendors, including our online consultation form (Jotform), maps (Google), financing applications (CareCredit and PatientFi), the patient portal, and social media links (Instagram and Facebook). We choose vendors with accessibility in mind and ask them to meet the same standard, but we do not control their content. If any of these tools gives you trouble, please contact us and we will help directly.
